We're not Swedish, or Catholic, but we celebrate Santa Lucia Day anyway.
My sweet Violet, as the oldest girl in our house, is our Santa Lucia Girl. She wears a white dress, a red sash, and dons a crown with candles. On the evening of December 13th, she sings us the traditional song and serves pepparkakkor (gingerbread) cakes to everyone.
